Douglas Coupland: everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything is the new exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Curated by Vancouver-based artist, Douglas Coupland, the exhibition is a stimulating look at media, art and culture in the 21st century. Coupland delves into what makes us Canadian and how design, media, arts and culture has formed our sense of a nation. Products, paintings from the Group of Seven, publishing, the internet, and current affairs all play a part in the exhibition. In keeping with current nature of the exhibition, and an art gallery rarity, photography is welcome and patrons are encouraged to share their photos on social media with the hashtag #CouplandVan.
Everywhere is anywhere is anything is everything runs at the Vancouver Art Gallery until September 1, 2014. Along with Painted Past – A History of Canadian Painting from the Collection and On Stage – Recent Acquisitions, starting on June 28, the VAG is a must see for everyone this Summer.
The Vancouver Art Gallery is located in the heart of Vancouver at 750 Hornby Street, open daily until 5pm (Tuesdays until 9pm). Adult fares are $20 with Tuesday evening’s from 5-9pm by donation.
