Things are Supernatural this Fall/Winter 2016 season as Native Shoes introduces its most radical line of unisex silhouettes designed for humans in all climates to wander the elements.
Just in time for autumn weather, Native is unveils a collection of cold season styles, combining futuristic materials and classic styling aimed at propelling its “Future Classics” story. Perfect for our wet West Coast weather is the introduction of the water-resistant Hydro Collection, infused with a proprietary Defender Repellent Systems with Scotchgard™
Taking design inspiration from the avant-garde concepts that emerged from architectural firm Superstudio in 1960’s Italy, Native’s supernatural story plays with textures, technology, prints, and colors which encompass the radically advanced thinkers of this cultural movement. Like Native, Superstudio was known for their design beliefs which used structures in the natural world to enhance the human experience. Superstudio’s concepts are brought to life in the modern age through new futuristic silhouettes.
Three new FW16 styles are introduces to fill out the water-resistant Hydro Collection.
Built on the Apollo Platform (AP), each shoe features an ultra-light rubber outsole and the Defender Repellent Systems with Scotchgard™.
The AP Apex draws inspiration from the classic hiking boot with metal eyelets, a padded collar for comfort and breathable micro-perforations on a recycled Japanese nubuck.
The AP Chukka Hydro follows the same design cues as the traditional Chukka, updated with a non-perforated three-ply upper for extra weather-resistance.
The AP Rover is constructed from a lightweight mesh with waterproof membrane, moleskin lining, and a 3D printed mudguard.
The Fall/Winter 2016 collection will be available at select retailers across Canada and at www.nativeshoes.com.
