This weekend, FVDED in the Park 2015 gathered thousands of music fans together under hot sunny skies. After the inaugural party in the park at Malkin Bowl and the 2014 PNE Amphitheatre location, this third incarnation of FVDED in the Park found its home at Holland Park in Surrey.
With Deadmau5 and The Weeknd headlining each of the days, the diverse line-up of artists appealed to a wide audience. In spite of the diversity, there wasn’t any disparity between demographics, everyone coming together to enjoy the great sounds of artists like; Afrojack, The Chainsmokers, Chuckie, Claude von Stroke, Tyler The Creator, Flosstradamus, Ty Dolla $ign and legendary DJ Pete Tong. No matter which stage they were on, the audience soaked it up and danced up a storm, creating a great vibe throughout the site.
The two day event seemed quite well organized, as you’d expect from veteran event planners Blueprint Events and the expertise of LiveNation’s sound techs made the music sound pristine. The easily accessible location next to King George SkyTrain Station, made for a great spot for the full fledged multi-stage festival. The layout of the park allowed the separation of the stages so the music bleed wasn’t overwhelming between them and the ample trees and open spaces gave the guests a shaded break from the blazing sunshine. While it’s not been stated, FVDED in the Park makes a good fit with Holland Park and hopefully becomes its home park for years to come.
