Good news, if you missed out on tickets for Imagine Van Gogh, when it was first announced. The immersive digital art exhibition opening March 19, 2021 at the Vancouver Convention Centre is expanding its hours and opening up more tickets.
With access limited due to pandemic restrictions, the exhibition sold out its initial allocation of tickets, in records time. A new block of tickets is going on sale tomorrow, Saturday, March 6 at 8am PST.
Operating in accordance with British Columbia’s public health guidelines., Imagine Van Gogh isdesigned to be a contactless experience with limited capacity and timed entries.
Filling 25,000 square feet of the convention centre, this one-of-a-kind exhibit takes an immersive look at over 200 of the fabled artist’s paintings—from the familiar (“Sunflowers” and “The Starry Night”) to the intimate (“La Chambre de Van Gogh à Arles”) to the sublime (“The Red Vineyard”). It’s a unique and original adventure that turns vision into habitat, allowing the viewer to enter and roam the luminous dreamscapes conjured by Vincent Van Gogh, accompanied by the music of Prokofiev, Saint-Saëns, Schubert, Mozart, Satie, and more.
