Jason Mraz – September 22, 2012 – Rogers Arena
Ever time I see Jason Mraz, I come away from the show with a smile on my face, and I know I’m not the only one. The entire audience at a Mraz show is always singing & dancing along, interacting with their neighbours and having a great time.
Upbeat pop music, lush folkie melodies and country tinged tunes win over the crowd and Jason’s witty and insightful banter brings personality to each song. The show included his major hits “The Remedy”, “Lucky”, “You & I” and “I’m Yours”. With a large backing band, including a boisterous brass section, to help fill the stage and provide more opportunity to chat, with and about band members, the show filled the stage. The stage itself was a spectacle as the electronic backdrop was filled with colour and light suited to each track. Even after the show, a 2 hour sensory feast, you can sense that people could easily have stayed, singing and swaying for hours more of Jason Mraz’s entertaining good times.
