Just as we wrap up Dine Out Vancouver Festival and PuSh Festival, it’s time to start preparing for Chinese and Lunar New Year events around town.
Chinese New Year festivities in Vancouver keep growing and are no longer contained to Chinatown, events happen all around the city.
Chinese New Year starts February 8th and The celebrations peak with the 43rd Chinatown Parade on February 14th throughout Chinatown.
Here’s a few of the other events happening during the Chinese New Year season;

– 43rd Chinatown Parade from 11am, along E Pender, Gore and Keefer Streets
– post-parade Lion Dances, after the parade follow the Lions as they visit and perform for local Chinatown businesses to bring good fortune through the new year.
