To highlight the upcoming 2012 Food and Wine Festival in Ixtapa-Zihuatenejo, Mark Oldman stopped by Yew Restaurant in the Four Seasons Vancouver recently.
Sampling a selection of 4 Mexican wines plus tequila and mezcal, Mark introduced the guests at the media tasting to his world of ‘drinking bravely’. Extolling the virtues of the great value found in Mexican wines and trying new blends and vineyards beyond the tried and true. Mexico is home to a number of up & coming and established winemakers waiting for the world to discover. A highlights for me were the Mariatinto red blend and Santo Tomas Sauvignon Blanc.
