Drag: Head to Celebrities Nightclub on Thursday night for Liberace vs Dickslap a special edition featuring a performance by Willam, Detox & Vicky Vox
Film: The 25th Annual Queer Film Festival takes to the screens around the city for ten days of queer themed and helmed films starting August 15th.
Spree: The multi-member, etherial group The Polyphonic Spree fill the stage at Venue Nightclub for an early show (7:30pm) on Friday August 16
Fair: A summer time tradition for over a century, The Fair at the PNE gets underway this Saturday August 17th.
Pride: It’s not that long a way to Tipperary Park in New Westminster, hop the Skytrain and take a walk up to New Westminster’s Pride Festival in the Park on Saturday August 17th.
Bodies: After Pride stay in New Westminster, as the models strut their stuff at the 2013 CBBF Bikini, Figure, Fitness and Physique Championships at 6pm at the Massey Theatre
Bond: Following the annual Roundhouse Community Centre Picnic In The Park, the 6th Annual Outdoor Movie Night in Yaletown brings James Bond in Goldfinger to the big screen at David Lam Park at 8pm on Sunday August 18th. (rain-out date is August 25th)
On Sale: Gigs going on sale this Friday August 16th include Billy Talent (Oct 29 at Commodore Ballroom), Mac Miller (Nov 13 at Commodore Ballroom), Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell (Nov 16 at Orpheum Theatre).
