Picks Of The Week – July 17, 2013

Mid-July already! Where does the time go? It sure flies when you’re having fun…and there’s lots of it going on.

Drama: be one of the first to hear ‘Lowest Common Denominator’ by Dave Deveau at a workshop reading presented by Zee Zee Theatre by pay-what-you-can donation at Carousel Theatre Company on Thursday July 18th.

FUSEFest: Enjoy the sunshine and music at Jericho Beach Park for Vancouver Folk Fest July 19-21, featuring Natalie Maines, Steve Earle & The Dukes, Kathleen Edwards and dozens more take on the 5 stages.

Roar: Show your Lions Pride as the BC Lions host Edmonton Eskimos at BC Place on Saturday July 20th.

After-Hours: explore the Vancouver Art Gallery from 8-11pm on Friday for FUSE: Grand Ballroom a multi-room party filling the gallery with performances and entertainment. This edition also includes free performances in Corduroy Road on Robson Street.

Show: Soul, and RnB will be the order of the night as Bruno Mars brings his smooth sounds to Rogers Arena on Saturday July 20th with guest Ellie Goulding.

Dance: bring out the glamour when TFD Presents monroe, at Oasis on Saturday nights. This week features DJ Del Stamp and is hosted by Peeka Boo.

Laugh: Mosey on out to Port Coquitlam for the Giggle Dam Theatre‘s newest show, Saddle Up! launching Sunday July 21st. Be prepared for Hillbillies, Hicks and the Wild Wild West and of course the laughs
