Picks of the Week – October 28, 2014

Rock: Canadian rock singer Hawksley Workman plays the Commodore Ballroom on Thursday night.

Stage:  It’s the final week to catch John Mann’s The Waiting Room  at The Arts Club Theatre’s Granville Island Stage until Saturday

BigTop: The circus is coming to town, experience the astounding acrobatics when Cirque du Soleil, present Kooza, debuting at the Grande Chapiteau at Concorde Pacific Place until Dec 27th

Kickoff: Friday night, get your Halloween weekend started with Halloween Kick-Off at The Odyssey

Fly: Master your flight skills and earn your Witch Academy Diploma from Broomelda at FlyOver Canada Halloween, until November 1st.

Movies: Experience a Halloween scary movie marathon on Saturday night as the Rio Theatre features The Shining, Halloween and From Dusk til Dawn.

Spook: For one night only the spooks take over Vancouver TheatreSports for Halloween Monster Match, an evening of haunted improv

Parade: A Commercial Drive All Hallows Eve tradition, the 2015 Parade of Lost Souls follows a secret route to be released the evening prior.

Backdoor: Dance your pants off at Vancouver Arts & Leisure at Backdoor Halloween,  a sexy night filled with international DJs and Performers.

Thirst: Quench your Carnal Thirst at The O on Saturday night, a Halloween extravaganza featuring performances by Jane Smokr, Valynne Vile, Peach Cobblah, and Isolde N. Barron with DJ Nick Bertossi keeping the party moving
