Perfection: shameless hussy productions in association with Surrey Civic Theatres are presenting the world premiere of Meghan Gardiner’s To Perfection from today September 14 to 17 at Surrey Arts Centre’s Studio Theatre.

Brit: Peter Hook and the Light, the Joy Division and New Order founder’s latest act, take the stage at the Commodore Ballroom tonight
Festival: The Chan Centre for Performing Arts at UBC, in collaboration with Musqueam present Come Toward the Fire, September 17-18. The new festival is a Indigenous-led celebration of creativity, brilliance, culture and community leading up to this year’s Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Dance: Until September 25, the Vancouver International Flamenco Festival is back with another entertaining line-up of national and international flamenco artists for its 32nd edition, with ticketed and free live performances, events and classes at Norman Rothstein Theatre, Waterfront Theatre, the Picnic Pavilion at Granville Island, and Scotiabank Dance Centre.
Fringe: Vancouver Fringe Festival continues until September 18th with its mission of “theatre for everyone’ with its boundary-pushing theatre and performances from around the world and around the corner, like Ariel Slack’s How to Believe in Anything
Bard: Bard on the Beach at Vanier Park wraps up its season September 24 but not before more performances of the hilarious A Midsummer Night’s Dream on the Mainstage and dramatic Romeo and Juliet playing at Howard Family Stage.

Opera: City Opera Vancouver presents CHINATOWN, A New Opera written by Madeleine Thien and composed by Alice Ping Yee Ho with translator Paul Yee, until September 17th at the Vancouver Playhouse.
Balls: Whitecaps FC play host to LA Galaxy on Wednesday evening at BC Place
Dance: Saturday, the annual Scotiabank Dance Centre Open House, join in open classes, demonstrations and events for the chance to sample a host of dance styles; from Bollywood, bhangra and Métis jigging to K-pop and tap.
Rock: Thursday September 15, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters “This Is Not A Drill” concert tour makes a stop at Rogers Arena in Vancouver
Comedy: Friday, September 16, comedian Jo Koy brings his laughter from the Chelsea Lately show and Netflix to the live stage at Rogers Arena
Biennale: The Polygon Gallery is the first stop on a nationwide tour of Stan Douglas’s Venice Biennale exhibition, 2011 ~ 1848, Local patrons will get to view the Canadian Premiere of the exhibition until November 6, 2022.
Exhibition: Coinciding with the show above, Griffin Art Projects presents Allegories of the Present, until December 11, 2022, a survey exhibition in celebration of the works of acclaimed Vancouver-born artist, photographer, filmmaker Stan Douglas and of his representation of Canada at this year’s Venice Biennale.
Stage: The Arts Club Theatre Company 2022-2023 season is underway with Peter Pan Goes Wrong opening tonight at the Stanley Stage, running until October 16th

Exodus: Until September 25, 2022 at PAL Studio Theatre, Western Gold Theatre presents the world premiere of 90 Days by Salim Rahemtulla, based on first-time playwright Salim Rahemtulla’s own experiences and marking the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Ugandan forced exodus of its Asian community.
