16th New West Cultural Crawl

Now in its 16th year, the New West Cultural Crawl is an annual arts & culture festival that celebrates and exhibits the vast creative talents across New Westminster. For two days, August 10th and 11th, New West artist studios and venues open their doors to welcome thousands of visitors from across Metro Vancouver.

This family-friendly event invites young and old to explore the city’s neighbourhoods; Downtown, Uptown, West End, Sapperton and Queensborough. Map guides allow visitors to explore at their leisure while checking out works by the city’s professional and emerging artists. Sixty + venues, from Galleries, and Community Centres, to Theatres and even a Brewery open the doors to welcome the exploration of the Arts.

ROVE A Mount Pleasant Art Walk

This Friday evening, ROVE A Mount Pleasant Art Walk, invites you to explore Mount Pleasant and the neighbourhood’s art scene. ROVE is a one-night art event that designates a path for people to explore select galleries and art studios within a short walk or cycle from one another.

The free event includes several coordinated openings in a single evening within galleries, studios and creative spaces including; grunt gallery, MAKE, LPY Studios, Gene Studios, Kafka’s, Omaha Studios, Burrard Arts Foundation and Field Contemporary.  Pick up a ROVE map at one of the spaces, then head out and discover a diverse range of artwork and meet the artists in person.

ROVE takes place place from 6pm until 10pm, tomorrow, Friday, September 25th with an after party at the Projection Room (above The Fox Cabaret) starting at 10pm until late. Guests can show their ROVE map to gain free admissions to the Projection Room.
