Vancouver Foodster Celebrates Global Flavours

This November Vancouver Foodster brings us two events that show us the diversity of the city’s food scene, while also showing us how similar dishes vary around the world.

Dumpling Fest returns for another year on November 6th. Dumplings are served in cultures all around the world, find out how they do it by visiting the Dumpling Fest restaurants from Little Saigon, Chinatown and South Granville areas of Vancouver. Each will serve up different kinds of dumplings, from Vietnamese dumplings, to Russian Pelmeni to Wonton and more.

Curry Fest invites patrons to tantalize their taste buds as restaurants in downtown Vancouver serving up different kinds of Curry dishes from South Indian to Vietnamese to Thai and more. On November 13th, each restaurant will be serving up their Curry Plates and Bowls for guests to enjoy with your foodie friends and family, or meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants and their global menus.

Fall for Food with Vancouver Foodster

This autumn Vancouver Foodster is offering a tasty line-up of great food-filled events.

From finding hidden gems as you explore the Gastown and Chinatown neighbourhoods, to seeking out your new fave pizza place or discovering dumplings from around the globe. Along the way, learn a little from local suppliers, vendors and experts with Food Talks.

4th Annual Pizza Palooza gets the season gets underway on October 16th. A savoury search for pizzas and flatbreads from around the world, Pizza Palooza. Touching down in Mount Pleasant, Yaletown and The West End, visitors will discover tastes from locations like the Middle-East, South India, and of course, Italy. Each participating eatery will serve guests a tasting plate (or slice) of their featured flatbreads, while meeting some new food loving friends, talking to the chefs, and learn about each of their participating restaurants.

Tasting Plates Gastown & Chinatown, just one week later on October 23rd, invites us to find out what’s new in the neighbourhoods of Gastown & Chinatown. As typical of all Tasting Plates events; guests will pick up their Tasting Plates map & guide from the check-in location, then venture off to their designated starting restaurant / cafe for a culinary cruise around the ‘hoods. Committed, so far, to providing Tasting Plates to tantalize our taste buds are;

Get your tickets now for Vancouver Foodster’s Dumpling Fest!

Almost every society has a form of dumplings, those tasty, comfort food morsels cover the globe.  Vancouver Foodster’s Dumpling Fest Vancouver is bringing all those flavours together for one spectacular bite-sized festival.

Tickets are now on sale for the November 7, 2018 event. Travel the world with your taste buds at restaurants from Olympic Village, Chinatown and Commercial Drive broil, boil, fry and steam up up different kinds of dumplings, from Cantonese soup dumplings, to Russian Pelmeni to Indian Kofta to Italian Gnocchi and more.

Like the Vancouver Foodster Tasting Plates events guests will check in at the first stop (to be announced) to receive their map and menu cards, then venture out to explore the Dumpling Fest Vancouver participants. Each restaurant will be serving up Tasting Plates and Bowls for guests to enjoy.  Get your friends and family together to make it more fun as you visit many different types of restaurants throughout the event, meet some new food loving friends, meet the chefs, and learn about each of the participating restaurants.
