12 Days of Christmas Present Ideas – Day 6

Today’s 12 Days of Christmas gift idea is rather illuminating.  Something decorative for the home is always a great idea but even better when it’s practical.

Estandsons_img_0954I was lucky to recently receive an Established & Sons’ FOLD Lamp from Inform Interiors at IDS Vancouver, which lead to today’s gift idea.  The stylish lamp isn’t something I would think to purchase for myself but was a very welcome addition to the living room. Established & Sons, the British design brand curating innovative and contemporary design,  has a wide selection of beautiful, modern and practical pieces for the home, like the FOLD lamp.
Inform Interiors also has a wide selection of pieces in-store and online. From $20 glassware, to extravagant home furnishings, you’ll find inspiration for everyone on your list.

Find Great Finds at Walrus

Located in the heart of the Cambie Village, Walrus is a boutique filled with creatively curated brands and pieces with an emphasis on Canadian brands. I recently attended an in-store event for the launch of the Native Shoes Spring Summer 2014 line at the shop and was impressed by the vast array of goods in the small space.
As their tag line states, the shop is “a pleasant surprise”, Home Decor, Jewellery, Fashions, Gifts, Kitchenware, Apothecary, Garden and Stationary might sound like a department store but all these items are found on the crisp white shelving within Walrus.   Herschel Bags, Native Shoes, Malin + Goetz, Secrid, Billykirk, Miansai, Braun are just a few of the local and international brands sitting along side to take home.

Search out your own finds at Walrus the next time you need a gift or just a little pick me up for yourself.

Walrus is located, in the Cambie Village,  at 3408 Cambie Street or shop online at shop.walrushome.com
Follow them on Twitter @WalrusHome, Facebook.com/WalrusHome and Instagram @WalrusHome.
