Bach: Early Music Vancouver presents Bach Collegium Japan, joined by acclaimed British soprano Joanne Lunn, performing the works of Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, on December 9th at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC

Dance: Ballet BC presents the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Nutcracker at Queen Elizabeth Theatre for three days only, December 7,8 & 9

Pucks: On Saturday evening, the Vancouver Giants return to their old home at the Pacific Coliseum to host the Victoria Royals and the annual Teddy Bear Toss

Choir: The Vancouver Men’s Chorus annual Making Spirits Bright brings some festive holiday music to St Paul’s Anglican Church in the West End on Saturday and Sunday.

Drama: Seven Tyrants Theatre presents John Patrick Stanley’s Pulitzer Prize winning drama Doubt : A Parable from November 23 – December 14

Holiday Market from Vancouver Foodster

‘Tis the season for shopping and browsing the Holiday Markets around the city and on December 6th Vancouver Foodster introduces a Holiday Market like no other.  A night of tastings to celebrate the Holiday Season, Vancouver Foodster’s Holiday Market explores a trio of neighbourhoods to see what merchants have in store.

South Granville, False Creek and Kitsilano welcome holiday explorers to visit a selection of markets that will feature various vendors offering a  selection of savoury and sweets, plus beverages for guests to enjoy and peruse.  Market visitors will have a chance to browse, try and perhaps purchase many different foods and beverages throughout the event, meet some new food loving friends, meet the producers and chefs, and learn about each of the participating vendors and markets.
