Unless you’ve been out of the country this year, there’s a good chance you’re aware that The Tragically Hip are on their final tour. Due to lead singer Gord Downie’s cancer diagnosis, this is presumed to be the last time the Canadian icons will be on stage (at least with this line-up)
The Man Machine Poem Tour wraps up on Saturday, August 20th in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario. While much has been made of the number of fans unable to get tickets to their cross Canada tour, the CBC is bringing the band to the fans. The national broadcaster will televise and stream the final show for the whole country to enjoy.
In an effort to allow the fans the shared concert experience a number of venues around town will be showing The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration live.
