While Vancouver is in the deep freeze of winter, it’s hard to believe that our Whitecaps FC will return to the pitch at BC Place in just a few short weeks.
The previously announced Concacaf Champions League (CCL) match on March 2, 2017 versus New York Red Bulls is our first chance to get a look at this season’s Whitecaps line up.
The MLS schedule was revealed for the whole 2017 season this week. Just days after taking on the NY Red Bulls in CCL action the team returns to BC Place to host Philadelphia Union on March 5th.
After the home opening, other highlights of the season include a March 19th visit by Toronto FC, April 1 brings LA Galaxy to Vancouver and FC Dallas visits June 17 followed by NYC FC on July 5th. Voyageur Cup action comes just from the one visit by Toronto FC, Montreal Impact do not visit Vancouver this year.
Cascadia Cup rivals Seattle Sounders visit on April 14 and August 23 with Portland Timbers on July 23 with hopes that Vancouver will retains its Cascadia crown.
