For the past number of years Davie Village has been the centre of Davie Day, a fun late summer street festival. This year marks the expansion of Davie Day, becoming West End Fest, with activities and entertainment stretching from Burrard Street all along Davie Street to Denman Street near English Bay.
Getting under way at noon today, Saturday Sept 8th, 7 hours of family fun, art, performances and interactive displays and activities take over the street. With stages at both Burrard and Denman Streets there is plenty of entertainment for everyone.
Burrard Stage is hosted by the ever fabulous Joan-E with performances by Matthew Presidente, Really Rod, Zak Santiago and Carlotta Gurl interspersed with fun filled Bingo with Joan-E and Carlotta Gurl .
Down the street at Denman Stage, the always funny Ryan Steele is hosting Ronnie Mejia, Nina Mendoza, Michael Fraser, My Gay Husband! and a performance of the Ryan Steele Show that’s sure to bring some added laughter to the street.
Throughout the day take in a Heritage Walking Tour, Mole Hill Tour, Denman Fitness demonstration, Roller Disco, charity competitions and contests plus lots of street vendors and sponsors. For the fill schedule of events visit the West End Business Improvement Association Website
