The cork pops off of the fifth annual TASTE Festival later this week. Victoria’s Festival Of Food & Wine kicks off Thursday July 25th with an evening of tastings from over 100 BC wines accompanied by locally inspired cuisine created by Vancouver Island’s top chefs. More than just another wine festival, TASTE is a culinary tourism experience as the entire weekend is dedicated to tastings, seminars and events highlighting the bounty that Vancouver Island has to offer.
On Thursday, ‘Taste The Difference’ from 6:30pm – 9:30pm as the Ballrooms of the Hotel Grand Pacific are filled with fellow foodies and wine enthusiasts looking to see what the 30 BC Wineries and local chefs have to offer. The organizers of TASTE are decidedly choosy when they select who will participate in the event. The wineries were asked to only pour wines made from BC Grapes as well the chefs were asked to look to their own backyards to create their menus
Other weekend events take place around Victoria and many are nearly sold out so don’t wait, get tickets soon.
TASTE Victoria runs July 25 – 28 at venues across Victoria. |
