Tomorrow is Leap Day! So why not take a leap of faith and wear pink to support Pink Shirt Day, helping prevent bullying.
Inspired by two noble high school students in Nova Scotia who wore pink to supported a fellow student who was bullied for wearing the colour to school, Pink Shirt Day has been a BC provincial event since 2009. Supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs and CKNW’s Orphan’s Fund, Pink T-shirts are sold at London Drugs making it easy for everyone to get onboard and say no to bullying.
Whether you were bullied or are a reformed bully the Pink Shirt Day website invites everyone to share their stories. Your story may inspire someone to have the strength to get through a tough time or perhaps shed light on their poor choices and seek help to understand why they bully.
