Running out of things to do during the Christmas break? Massey Theatre comes to the rescue with plenty of laughter & fun for the whole family in The Little Mermaid: A Pantomime. The Royal Canadian Theatre Company delivers a raucous and rambunctious traditional British Panto written by Crystal Weltzin with music from Argel Monte de Ramos.
You’ll be under the sea(ts) with laughter as The Little Mermaid delivers a silly, magical and wacky take on the classic Danish Fairy Tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Like any good panto, you’ll be dazzled by the colourful costumes and set groan at corny jokes. Be dazzled by the colourful costumes and set as you join in the audience participation, booing the baddy and cheering the champion while singing-along to irresistible toe-tapping tunes.
Along the way between laughs and guffaws the tale delivers lessons on curiosity, miscommunication, belief and making your dreams come true. Join Ariel on her journey of discovery and Prince Eric while fending off the dastardly deeds of Sea Witch Ursula with the assistance of Dame Chef Phishandchips, Flounder, Bisque and a school of villagers .
