Sunday night, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences h0noured their own with the 55th Annual Grammy awards presented at the Staples Centre in Los Angele. Hosted by LL Cool J the show featured performances by Taylor Swift, Elton John & Ed Sheeran, F.U.N., Miranda Lambert & Dierks Bentley, Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z, Mumford and Sons, Maroon 5 & Alicia Keys, The Black Keys, Frank Ocean and Carrie Underwood. A number performances paid homage to Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award Winners, throughout the night, Kelly Clarkson paid tribute to Patti Page and Carole King, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Sting, Ziggy and Damian Marley acknowledged Bob Marley were a couple of the tributes.
This year the Academy introduced 3 new categories to the awards; Best Classical Compendium, Best Latin Jazz Album, and Best Urban Contemporary Album, making a total of 81 awards, 70 of which were presented in pre-telecast ceremonies.

Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: “No Church in the Wild” Jay-Z & Kanye West ft Frank Ocean & The Dream
Best Country Album: “Uncaged” – Zac Brown Band
Best New Artist: FUN
Record of the Year: “Somebody That I Used To Know” – Gotye & Kimbra
Album Of The Year: “Babel” – Mumford & Sons
