While the pandemic has resulted in the continued closure of live performances, Bard on the Beach is taking the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics and conversations that audiences and artists want to hear.
Conversations With… invites audiences and artists to join a digital space to participate in the great conversation that usually take place in rehearsal halls, backstage, and lobby spaces when everyone is able to gather. Who are Shakespeare’s plays about, and who are they for? What can Shakespeare’s works tell us about the past, the present, and the future?
The series, curated by Christine Quintana features a host of directors, actors, academics and creative leaders to share their visions for future Shakespeare creation and performance in the years to come. Features guests include; Eva Barrie, Rodrigo Beilfuss, Christopher Gaze, Ravi Jain, Jamie King, Sereana Malani, Yvette Nolan, Sarena Parmar, Christine Quintana, Baraka Rahmani, Quelemia Sparrow and Deshik Vansadia
