Tonight, put your money where your mouth is, by Dining Out For Life.
All day Thursday March 14, 2019 restaurants from New West to Whistler and all stops in between have pledged 25% of their day’s food sales to A Loving Spoonful to help support people living with HIV/AIDS in your community.

From El Santo in New Westminster, to Hunter Gather Eatery & Taphouse in Whistler, and the dozens of other restaurants in between are taking part in BC’s largest restaurant fundraiser.

Just by eating out at one of the participating restaurants, you’re supporting A Loving Spoonful’s programs and services. It’s that easy. For every $3.55 raised, a healthy meal will be provided to someone in need. A Loving Spoonful delivers meals to those affected by HIV/AIDS, helps with nutrition and meal planning, Easter Sunday Dinner with city Chefs donating their time to provide dinners to groups of 50 to 60 people, Family Pantry Program which provides families with healthy pantry staples, healthy Snack Packs for clients and much more.

From Bravo Restaurant in Chilliwack, El Santo in New Westminster, to Bowen Island Pizza in North Vancouver, The Reef Restaurant on Commercial Drive in Vancouver to HY’s Steakhouse, or Avalanche Pizza in Whistler,  plus dozens of restaurants are taking part in BC’s largest restaurant fundraiser. Dining out for Life 2015

logo_doflNow in its 21st year, Dining out for Life takes place this Thursday, March 26, 2015. Dining out for your breakfast, lunch or dinner can help support people living with HIV/AIDS. Benefiting the charities, Friends for Life and A Loving Spoonful,  restaurants from White Rock to Whistler are donating 25% of their food sales for the day.

Just by dining, the local charities get a share of your purchase and by sharing what your eating you could win $500.  Whenever you dine at any of the DOFL participating restaurants, share a photo of what you’re eating onTwitter, Instagram or Facebook  and tag the restaurant, @VanDOFL and use the hastag #DOFL. (Each social media platform equals one entry)

So take yourself and your friends out for breakfast, lunch and dinner to support people in your community and possibly win yourself $500.

Celebrate 20 Years Of Dining Out For Life

DOFL_20Take 100 restaurants + one night + one great cause and it adds up to one amazing reason to celebrate as Dining Out For Life (DOFL) marks its 20th year. From White Rock to Whistler and everywhere in between, 100s of restaurants will contribute 25% of their food sale to DOFL on Tuesday March 25th.  For two decades DOFL and its great restaurant partners have been benefiting not-for-profit agencies Friends For Life and A Loving Spoonful and their programs and services. The two services provide:

  • Over 110,000 meals per year delivered to those affected by HIV/AIDS in Metro Vancouver and surrounding regions
  • Nutritional counselling and meal planning
  • 60+ support therapies ranging from therapeutic massage to naturopathy, music therapy to yoga
  • A weekly hot lunch program for youth affected by HIV/AIDS
  • End-of-life care to people in their own homes
