Wednesday night, London’s O2 Arena was filled with the sound of music and laughter as funny-man James Corden hosted the 34th Annual BRIT Awards. Music superstars from around the world turned out to celebrate the best of British & International musical achievements over the past year. Performances from Arctic Monkeys, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Bastille, Ellie Goulding, Lourde, Pharrell Williams & Nile Rogers and Katy Perry kept the audience entertained between awards. Corden has become the go-to host for the awards show as he took the controls for his 5th time in six years, his, at times awkward presentation keeping the guests and audience on their toes thoughout the evening.
Since 2011, the BRIT award trophy has been uniquely created for the year by various designers, this year’s trophy was redesigned by milliner Philip Treacy. Giving the trophy a punk inspired look the sleek black statuette of Britannia featured a black & white hat in the form of a mohawk atop the helmet. Some of the gongs were presented by Kylie Minogue, Pharrell Williams, Tinie Tempa, Ferne Cotton, Noel Gallagher, Lily Allen and Prince
