Sunday night, the Great White Way gathers to present the 69th Annual Tony Awards, celebrating Broadway’s biggest season ever with record ticket sales, and number of new shows opening.
Hosted by Kristen Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, the duo kept the proceedings moving with cheeky, witty banter, often over-the-top costume sight gags and of course, song and dance.
The singing and dancing wasn’t just left to the hosts, each of the nominated musical company’s performed as well as a selection of the season’s new musicals performed. Josh Groban performed “You’ll Never Walk Alone” during the In Memoriam segment and in honour of its 10th year on Broadway, the cast of Jersey Boys closed the show.
