Sunday night, the 69th Golden Globes were handed out in Los Angeles signalling the start of the 2012 awards season. Red Carpets, trophies, glamour and celebrities (and probably a few cocktails) are the name of the game. Hosted by the brilliantly funny Ricky Gervais, who seemed to have his screen-time limited after last year’s controversial Hollywood roasting he gave while hosting.
Awards were handed out in 14 film categories and 11 tv categories along with the Cecil B DeVille Award for Lifetime Achievement.
