Grab a ‘buddy’ and head to The Rec Room Granville for a unique festive event. On December 14 and 21, guests are invited to experience the holiday classic Elf like never before with menu items from The Rec Room served in sync with Buddy the Elf’s most iconic moments from the film, creating a fully immersive dining and movie experience.
Like Buddy the Elf guests begin their evening Buddy-style by toasting with an espresso martini or coffee piled high with whipped cream and Oreo crumble, inspired by Buddy’s revelation upon finding the “world’s best cup of coffee” when he arrives in New York City.
Who can forget the most iconic food moment in Elf: Buddy’s spaghetti? His special breakfast dish is topped with maple syrup, chocolate syrup, marshmallows, M&Ms and crushed Pop-Tarts. For The Rec Room’s take on this classic scene, guests will enjoy sun-dried tomato and goat cheese spaghettini, served with a playful side of Buddy’s favourite candy inspired by the elves’ four food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup.
As Buddy meets up with his brother Michael after school, the two of them are swept into an epic snowball fight with a group of kids in Central Park. Relive this moment with the perfect treat for a snowy showdown – powdered-sugar mini donuts.
As Buddy the Elf’s journey and the film draws to its crescendo, guests will celebrate his NYC-style date night: hot dogs and mini pretzels served from The Shed, The Rec Room’s casual quick-service restaurant and bar, for the perfect Big Apple finish.
The Elf Eat-Along takes place on December 14 from 6pm (screening at 6:30pm) and again on December 21 from 12:30pm (screening at 1pm).
Guests must be aged 19+ to attend. Admission is $38.16+ tax per person and includes the full menu plus film screening.
