As darkness descends earlier on these long winter evenings, festive displays of Christmas lights illuminate the holiday season. All around Metro Vancouver lights are switching on, lining eaves, twinkling trees and adding glitter to gardens.
Here’s a list of Metro Vancouver light displays to enjoy this Season: (note many are closed Christmas Day)

Merry & Bright at Martini Town
At Martini Film Studios 1123 272 Street, Langley: until December 31, 2025 3-10pm (closed Mondays & Tuesdays except December 22, 23, 29 and 30)
All is Merry and Bright at the picture perfect Martini Film Studio in Langley. The backlot studio town has been transformed to a holiday wonderland straight out of your favourite Hallmark movie with building facades and film streetscapes, including a New York-themed Brownstone Street, town Square, Santa’s Work Shop and more all adorned with festive displays. Find live music, an artisan market, food trucks – and even visits with Santa

Peak of Christmas
At Grouse Mountain, 6400 Nancy Greene Way, North Vancouver: until December 24, 2025
Visit with Santa in his workshop at Vancouver’s North Pole atop Grouse Mountain Resort. Spot the reindeer resting up for their big night, stroll the natural beauty of The Light Walk around the Blue Grouse Lake strung with enchanting light installations and enjoy live entertainment. Strap on some skates to hit the ice on the outdoor skating pond. Get out of the cold and enjoy a holiday movie in the Theatre in the Sky. For extra family fun book a Breakfast with Santa or check out the Elf’s Workshop to make your own ornament.

Christmas Glow: The Magic Toyshop
At Glow Gardens, 6690 216 Street, Langley: until December 31, 2025
Peek through the keyhole to Glow The Magic Toyshop, a land of magic where families can explore dazzling new lands like DinoLand, Gingerbread Lane, Motor City, Rainbow Forest, Teddy Town, and Vintage Avenue, each filled with oversized toys, glowing surprises, and moments of discovery.. Festive Village presented by Concord Pacific
At Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby: until January 2, 2026
Opens 1pm, until 5:30 or 9pm (depending on day of week) Closed December 24-25
Wander the open-air museum’s 10-acres taking in all the seasonal roaming entertainment, demonstrations, activities, traditional lights and decorations and visit with Father Christmas.
Grab a bite at the new Mai’s Café or Cravings Kettle Corn take a ride the classic Carousel.

Zoo Lights
At Greater Vancouver Zoo, 5048 – 264th Street, Aldergrove: until January 10, 2026 4pm-9pm(last entry 8pm). Closed December 25
Fantasy and nature come together at a luminous new multi-sensory journey. Ride the Artic Express train around the real and projected wildlife, stroll Nutcracker Boulevard or Dragon’s Passage, engage your curiosity in the Artic Research Station, get a photo with Santa or browse the Holiday Market. Pick up a hot beverage or a bite from the Sip & Snack Huts or stop in at Oasis Kitchen for something heartier.

Canyon Lights
At Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, 3735 Capilano Road, North Vancouver: until January 18, 2026 11am-9pm (closed Christmas Day).
Hundreds of thousands of lights turn the coastal rainforest into a glittering fantasy forest, that you can walk high above on the transformed Treetops Adventure, and across the twinkling Cliffwalk.
Admission: Online, advance, dated/timed entry: $75(Adults), 70(Seniors 65+), $64(Students 18+), $49(Youth13-17) or $28(Child 6-12). BC Resident Annual Passes also available.
Lights of Hope
At St Paul’s Hospital, 1081 Burrard Street, Vancouver: From November 27, 2025 until January 2, 2027.
Join the family-friendly Light Up event November 27th at 6pm to kick-off the annual campaign gets underway to bring in much needed funds for the hospital. Stroll past, enjoy the lights, donate to Lights of Hope, Sponsor a Star, or purchase a ticket to the 50/50 raffle. Where there is light, there is hope.

Van Dusen Festival of Lights
At VanDusen Botanical Garden, 5251 Oak St, Vancouver: November 28, 2025 to January 4, 2026 gates open 4pm-10pm (closed Christmas Day). Sensory-friendly Night welcoming neurodivergent guests and families on December 2nd.
More than one million lights adorn the magical 15-acre winter wonderland. Pick up a warm beverage and a snack as you stroll along the lakeside and get in the holiday spirit with the Dancing Lights (every 20 minutes), wander through themed gardens, explore the interactive mycelium installation, Wood Wide Web, Salmon Run and the Great Bear Rainforest exhibition in the Visitor Centre.

Edmonds Festival of Lights
At Edmonds Community Centre, 7433 Edmonds Street, Burnaby: Opening November 29, 2024 2:30 – 5:30pm
Burnaby’s Edmonds neighbourhood kicks off the season at the Edmonds Community Centre for a free family friendly event with festive entertainment, photobooth, holiday crafts, the Imagination Station, visits with Santa and hot chocolate, popcorn, and hot dogs served by the Burnaby firefighters, festive music with Santa’s Little Helpers and The Mellowdares sing-a-long choir with a special Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa at 5:15pm.

Lights at Lafarge
At Lafarge Lake, Town Centre Park, 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam: November 28, 2025 until February 16, 2026 – Illuminated 4-10pm daily
Metro Vancouver’s largest free Christmas light display, Coquitlam’s Lights at Lafarge Opening Night Celebration kicks off Friday, November 28th from 5 – 8 p.m. at Town Centre Park, with entertainment by The Dimes, Coastal Children’s Choir, Dani Black and more.
Celebrate the season strolling the 1.2km illuminated trail, enjoy food vendors, arts activities, live entertainment and performances throughout the season. Easily accessible by transit at Lafarge Lake – Douglas Skytrain Station

Granville Island Festive Lights & Holiday Display
At Granville Island, Vancouver December 1-31, 2025
Throughout Granville Island’s almost 40 acres of shops, restaurants, bars and taprooms you’ll find illuminations. Look up to the trees surrounding the theatres, or overlooking Alder Bay from Ron Basford Park, canopies of lights in hidden location, glowing benches, and more!

18th Annual Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting
Vancouver Art Gallery, (north side) November 28, 2025 6pm
The annual tree lighting ceremony brings thousands will join in the festivities as to view the lighting of the 76ft Christmas Tree, BC’s tallest, and the kick off to the Holiday Season hosted by Fred Lee with guest speakers, entertainment, dancing, hot beverages…and, of course, Santa!

Chanukah Unite for Light
At Vancouver Art Gallery, Sunday December 14, 2025 at 3:30pm
Unite with the Jewish community and join dignitaries to witness the lighting of the Silber Family Agam Menorah, Canada’s tallest, and the start off the 8 Days of the Chanukah Festival Of Lights with entertainment, donuts and chocolate gelt.
