“Celebrating 15 years of the Vancouver Christmas Market fills us with immense pride and gratitude,” says Denise Wegener, President of the Vancouver Christmas Market. “Inspired by the centuries-old German Weihnachtsmärkte, in 2010 we set out to bring that same experience of warmth, wonder, and togetherness to the heart of Vancouver. What began as a quaint German Market beside the Queen Elizabeth Theatre has grown into a 65,000 square-foot German Christmas Village outside the Convention Centre, with alpine-style artisan huts lining twinkling market alleys, aromas of roasting Haxen and mulled cider wafting through the squares, and over 1,000 seasonal staff (plus 10 full-time staff working year-round) to bring the authentic German Market experience to life.”

Vancouver’s longest-running Christmas Market brings the holiday tradition to the city with a festive German town square, with wooden artisan huts, magical light displays, a whimsical carousel, and European food and drink vendors — all surrounding a 35 ft. walk-through Christmas tree and the signature Christmas Pyramid with the Glühwein Bar on the bottom and live music up top.
To kick off its 15th anniversary celebrations, the Vancouver Christmas Market is offering reduced-rate online tickets, with Presale pricing on until November 12, as well as an all-new variable pricing that allows you to search for tickets by day and best deal.

With a full calendar of popular entertainment and events, including live music, Christmas Trivia and Karaoke, Student and Date Nights, plus Breakfast with Santa, a Tree Lighting Ceremony, the Vancouver Christmas Market offers plenty for everyone.
Keep an eye out for Holly & Jolly roaming the Market. Listen for market-wide bell-ringing moments, roaming photo cart, pop-up giveaways, a new light show and snow flurry at the Christmas Pyramid. Visit Santa’s Workshop, enjoy storytime in the Alpen Haus or have breakfast with Santa, and of course take a ride on the Christmas Carousel.
New for 2025 is Happy Hours, a perfect way to taste the market: smaller portions for reduced prices from 4pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday until December 5 then from 11:30am to 1:30pm Monday to Friday December 8 to 18. Enjoy a sip of a new Hot Aperol Spritz, Dominion Cider, Glühwein, Please Beverage Co. Nibble on an authentic German Pretzel, keep warm with market favourites raclette, meat pies, soups and stews, sweeten up with Strudel, craft chocolates and even edible butter candles.

This year’s Market will again offer an online reservation system. Guests will select a date and a half-hour entry time slot, but can stay and enjoy the wonders of this German Christmas village as long as they like.
