Sit right back and you’ll hear the tale, the tale of a celebrity appearance.
The Vancouver Boat Show, running January 22-26, 2014, offers guests the chance to meet the star of one of the 60’s most iconic sitcoms, Gilligan’s Island. Everyone’s favourite girl-next-door, Dawn Wells aka Mary Ann will appear with the original S.S. Minnow, during the show at BC Place. The actress will be available for photos and meet & greet with fans on Wednesday, January 22 and Thursday, January 23 from 5pm to 8pm.
The famous shipwreck, S.S. Minnow, will be onsite at BC Place for the duration of the Boat Show. Now owned by the Quality Foods Family, resides at Schooner Cove Marina on the east side of Vancouver Island, in Nanoose Bay, BC. The new owners have completely refurbished the 40’ cruiser, and restored it to its original seaworthiness. Boat Show attendees will have the opportunity to visit the S.S. Minnow throughout the five show days and relive the popular television show during the meet & greets with Dawn Wells.
The Vancouver Boat Show is spread over two locations – indoors at BC Place and in the water at Granville Island. Show goers of all ages and boating experience can get their season started early while taking advantage of the family-friendly activities, like watching Robin Sather, a LEGO Certified Professional Builder, creating a LEGO boat replica. Seminars with top boating experts, and incredible deals on all the latest marine products are also on the line-up.

Dude, Gilligan’s Island ran from 1964 to 1967. Hence, it is not “one of the 70’s most iconic sitcoms”.
Good catch, I guess watching it endlessly throughout my 70s childhood made me automatically think it was a 70s show, should’ve fact checked.
