
Vancouver biggest party returns to BC Place this weekend, March 7–8, 2026, for the 11th edition of the HSBC SVNS Vancouver. Prepare for colourful costumed fans in fancy dress and an electric atmosphere, and spectacular action on the field with over 40 matches taking place over the two days.
Vancouver always brings out the local fans for many of the visiting teams, but the heart of the weekend for the hometown crowd is Canada’s powerhouse Women’s Sevens team. Riding high after a historic silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics and a stellar run to the final versus England at the 2025 Rugby World Cup, the women’s team are looking for more success back on home soil at BC Place.
Head Coach Jocelyn Barrieau has named a roster led by 2024 SVNS Series Rookie of the Year, Carissa Norsten. With number of veteran players returning to the squad after lengthy injury absences hope to boost the team’s strength.

The action gets started Saturday March 7 with Canada Women’s Team facing three hard competitors in Pool Play. Scheduled matches are:

- Saturday at 1:09pm Canada vs USA
- Saturday at 5:19pm Canada vs Australia
- Saturday at 8:46pm Canada vs Fiji
Sunday, March 8, the action continues with the HSBC SVNS Vancouver Playoff rounds, with the Cup Finals scheduled for 5:34pm
Alongside the world’s top eight men’s and women’s teams vying for the HSBC SVNS Vancouver title. Another competition takes place, the Teck Tri-Nations Challenge makes its debut featuring Canada’s Men’s Sevens Team in action against Japan and Chile.
The Canadian men, fresh off a gold medal performance in Dubai, are currently competing in the second tier, HSBC SVNS 2. They will use home-soil advantage in preparation for upcoming promotion battles in Montevideo and São Paulo, as the Canadian side fights to return to the world’s elite tier.
