It’s that time of year, Spooky Season is beginning!
Fright Nights x Fizz at Playland opens tomorrow, October 3, running select nights until October 31. For over two decades, visitors have been thrilled and chilled by Western Canada’s most anticipated Halloween event.
Playland once again transforms into a electrifying Halloween-themed experience featuring seven frightfully haunted houses, an array of exhilarating rides for thrill seekers, spooky sights and roaming monsters around every corner.
Each Fright Night begins with an Opening Scaremony at 6pm as the Park opens Venom and Coco greet guests at the gates welcoming them to enter – if they dare – as other creepy cast members emerge from the fog in a unique immersive performance.
From there visitors are welcome to creep around the Park and experience all the thrills and adventures. Get your adrenaline fix on one of the twenty-one thrill rides, take in one of the live (or are they unalive?) performances of Trials of the Night – a visit to the Salem witch trials – is performed three times nightly. New this season, Fizz Death Circuit – place your phone on the stand, set a timer and prepare to face your greatest fears as you enter the path of the doomed souls to immortalize your execution.

After all that, if your stomach can take it, check out the food vendors for their spooktacular spreads of boiling beverages and frightening foods.
Fright Nights x Fizz 2025 runs from 6pm on select nights between October 3-31 at Playland, 2901 East Hastings Street.
General Admission tickets are on sale in-advance (discounted) online or at the gate but may sell out.
Early Admission Add-on (Online-only)allows entry to the Park between 5:00–5:30 PM and grants first access to The Void and Keeper’s Doll Factory – before the crowds (and creatures) grow bolder.
Rapid Pass offers a separate line that allowspriority access to every haunted house, plus 5 select rides. Available online or onsite—while supplies last.
Arrive early to avoid disappointment, all tickets include but due to capacity, do not guarantee access to all haunted houses, rides and attractions including Atmosfear, The Beast, Dizzy Drop Hell’s Gate, Hellavator, Pirate Ship, Thundervolt, West Coast Wheel, Wooden Roller Coaster and more.
