After a modified 2021 tournament, World Rugby’s HSBC Sevens Series makes its full return to Vancouver as HSBC Canada Sevens brings world class rugby back to BC Place, April 16 & 17.
Once again the worlds’ best mens’ sevens teams are participating in the series, having just wrapped up Singapore Sevens the teams are headed to fan and player favourite, Canada Sevens. Expect a raucous atmosphere as the fans don their fancy dress and cheer on their home teams, being Easter weekend expect to see a lot of bunny ear!
Teams taking part in the 2022 HSBC Canada Sevens are: Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, France, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, New Zealand, Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, United States, & Wales. After five out of the nine tournaments in the 2022 Series, Canada stands with 24 points so could really use the home-ground advantage to climb the table, so get out and cheer them on!
Pools and tournament schedules will be released this week but no matter who plays whom the action is always electric at Canada Sevens. Tournament Passes, and Single Day – General Admission Tickets are still available, from $75, so you and your friends can pick up a ticket and meet in the stands to cheer on the action on the field and participate in one of the most colourful and electric sporting atmospheres to fill the city!
HSBC Canada Sevens men’s tournament takes place April 16 and 17, 2022 at BC Place Stadium, gates open at 8:30am with the players taking to the pitch at 9:30am, with the match day ending at 7pm on Saturday and 6:30pm on Sunday. Concessions open early for breakfast options, in and out privileges are allowed only until 3pm.
