The Cultch 2021 Fall Season is underway, bringing a mix of online and in-person performances to put a cap on a year of innovative productions that have kept audiences entertained while at home.
Urban Ink and The Cultch’s TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival, recently wrapped up a week of brilliant, creative interactive digital performances and in-person screenings from the Historic Theatre.
Next up, in November The Cultch continues its commitment to offering online performances for its growing international digital audience with we the same, from Ruby Slippers Theatre, and Farm to Fable, a new show from Amiel Gladstone. Both of these world premieres will be performed and streamed live. While Farm to Fable, an interactive Zoom cooking show starring Meaghan Chenosky, encourages audience members to join in the fun and cook along with food from show partner Fresh Prep, we the same brings Cultch patrons the true story of a mother of six separated from her family as she flees from Vietnam.
After last year’s online-only version, fans of Theatre Replacement’s East Van Panto will be happy to know our favourite holiday tradition is returning to the York Theatre, as well as online! Families will once again be able to join together to cheer their favourite characters along in their East Van-inspired adventures, and those families that prefer to watch from the comfort of their own home will have that option as well. East Van Panto: Alice in Wonderland wraps up The Cultch’s 2021 Fall Season from November 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
