The 80s was the heydays of the horror film, the rise of slasher films with Jason, Freddie, Michael Myers ushered in a new era of over-the-top serial killers. As the popularity rose, the formula began to stick until the storylines became cliched or too far-fetched in their attempt to one-up themselves in their sequels.
Camp Death III is a new movie that pay homage to those 80s films with its own spoof-tacular script. With the script, cast and crew in place the moviemakers are now finalizing their funding for the 10 day shoot to be completed on location at “Camp Death”.
Recently, the cast and crew came together for a fundraiser at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver to introduce family, friends and fans to the film and the quirky cast of characters and kick off the fundraising campaign video. Entry by donation and raffles, including the chance to win a cameo ‘death’ in the film, helped boost the coffers.
