The time has come! After a couple of dark summers, the 2022 Honda Celebration of Light returns to illuminate the skies over Vancouver.
Celebrating its 30th Anniversary over three spectacular days and evenings, July 23, 27 and 30, 2022, the Honda Celebration of Light is the world’s longest running offshore fireworks festival. Typically welcoming over 1 million spectators annually to the shores of English Bay is it also the largest event in British Columbia.
This year’s festival will welcome three spectacular pyrotechnic teams to wow the audiences.
Saturday, JULY 23 – JAPAN – Akariya Fireworks – Took 1st place at both 2014 and 2017 Honda Celebration of Light
Wednesday, JULY 26 – CANADA – Midnight Sun Fireworks – an award-winning team of volunteer pyrotechnicians from the Yukon.
Saturday, JULY 30 – SPAIN – Pirotecnia Zaragozana – Founded in 1860, one of Spain’s oldest and most awarded pyrotechnic teams.
Leading up to the festival take in the free music and performances at Festival Stage @ Morton Park each day from 2pm, as well browse the Festival Marketplace in the Park.
Each evening Red Bull stunt pilot Pete McLeod will thrill audiences with his sensational stunt flying. Plus, on July 27th the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration Team roars overhead at 6pm.
While every view around English Bay is spectacular, elevate the experience with one of the reserved viewing locations: Scotiabank Lounge, Concord Lounge at the Inukshuk, or English Bay Grandstand. Tickets are available online at hondacelebrationoflight.com.
