On Tuesday, September 9th, acclaimed Canadian contemporary menswear designer Christopher Bates launches his Fall 2014 collection with an invitation-only charity shopping night & trunk show at Vancouver’s Holt Renfrew store from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
The collection is on available now at Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew but at the trunk show, Holt Renfrew will donate 10% of storewide sales to Bates’ charity of choice, Jade’s KIDS (Kids Independent of Drugs) Foundation.
Drawing inspiration from Oscar Wilde’s Dorian Gray the new collection, titled Noctem, (latin for “night”), is designed with the style-conscious man in mind. Bates has created dashing, urban looks perfectly suited for evening, weekend and transition wear. The collection features luxurious sweaters constructed with baby alpaca made in Peru and a signature wool and satin tuxedo. Rounding out the collection are lamb leather bombers, brushed cotton dress shirts, micro-herringbone nylon trench coats, and Bates’ infamous kiss print dress shirts.
“This is my second season selling at Holt Renfrew and we’re launching the new collection with a gala to celebrate, as well as to raise awareness and funds for a great cause,” said Bates. “Vancouver is where I’m from and where I started my business, so I’m certainly looking forward to coming back and sharing this experience with my family, friends and supporters.”
Christopher Bates’ charity trunk show at Holt Renfrew Vancouver takes place September 9, 2014 from 7:30pm – 9:30pm
