The 10th Annual Hot Chocolate Festival has arrived, just in time to help us recover from one of Vancouver’s coldest winter weeks. After spending many a snow day at home, the Hot Chocolate Festival is the perfect way to draw us out of the house from January 18 – February 14, 2020.
What could be a better antidote to winter than a whole month of Hot Chocolate! Presented by CityFood Events, The Festival finds 44 participants around the city creating an offering of 144 flavours of chocolate drinks. The Hot Chocolate Festival lets visitors explore Metro Vancouver’s favourite cafes, bakeries, chocolatiers, patisseries, ice cream parlours, and restaurants in search of an amazing, new favourite Hot Chocolate blend. Created with Milk, Dark and White Chocolates, flavours range from single origin cups, spiced blends, infusions with florals, liquor, coffee or tea, vegan or coconut milk options. Be on the look out for many of the creative collaborations between local suppliers and producer.
The Festival reaches across Metro Vancouver; try the new 1931 Gallery Bistro at Vancouver Art Gallery, find plant-based options at Buddha-full Café in North Vancouver, make the trip to Chez Christophe in White Rock. Download the Hot Chocolate Festival map and start exploring to find your new hot chocolate fave.
While you’re exploring, post your drinks on Instrgram to enter the Hot Chocolate Festival photo contest. Tag @hotchocolatefest #VHCFphotocontest #hotchocolatefest to be entered to win $100s of Gift Cards
The Hot Chocolate Festival supports the PHS Community Services Society Program run by East Vancouver Roasters, Growing Chefs and Vancity’s Fresh to Families program.
