Picks of the Week – March 28, 2018

Wrapping up March with the weather feeling like autumn, spring weather can arrive anytime but in the meantime here’s a selection of picks for your week’s entertainment.

Auto: The 98th Vancouver International Auto Show, revs up its engines tonight starting a 5 days showcase of impressive autos at Vancouver Convention Centre.

Fair:  PlayDome at BC Place brings all the fun of an amusement park – rides, games & carnival eats – indoors until Sunday.

Pucks: The Vancouver Canucks have a pair of games this week, hosting Edmonton on Thursday, then Columbus on Saturday.

Cohen: The Firehall Arts Centre celebrates its 35th Anniversary with its award winning Chelsea Hotel: The Songs of Leonard Cohen playing until April 21st.

Industrial: Iconic industrial metal act Ministry plays the Vogue Theatre on Thursday March 29th supported by Chelsea Wolfe and The God Bombs

Haida: Until June 15, Museum of Vancouver has a new exhibition, Haida Now. A collaboration with The Haida Gwaii Museum bring 450 works together in a one of a kind collection of Haida arts and culture

Culture: Musqueam, Squamish, Lil’wat, Heiltsuk, Nisga’a, Haida are collaborating for the first time so you can learn more about the cultures of these First Nations and the importance of their cultural centres at the Museum of Anthropology at UBC’s exhibition Culture at the Centre, until October 8th.

Family: The Arts Club Theatre Company has the Tony-Award winning family drama, The Humans onstage at the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage.
