Every spring Vancouver streets and parks come alive with brilliant displays of Cherry Blossoms. From April 3rd to 28th, the annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival, coinciding with Sakura Days Japan Fair, April 5 – 6 at Van Dusen Garden, fills the city with activities: talks, walks, concerts, fashions shows, tea ceremonies and special restaurant menus. Kicking of with a free lunch time concert – Cherry Jam on April 3rd from noon top 1:30pm at Burrard Station. Free, guided Tree Talks & Walks take visitors to see the trees and learn the biology of the city neighbourhoods.
Throughout the month participate in the BC Blossom Watch Photo Contest by submitting photos online, via email or on Twitter with hashtag #cherryblossomsyvr for a chances to win $250 gift cards from TravelSmart.
