In 1995, a few hundred people descended upon the Croatian Cultural Centre where 8 brave farmers had set up the first Vancouver Farmers Market. Now 20 years later, Farmers Markets are firmly entrenched in the city’s landscape and are a welcome shopping destination for hundreds of locals.
The first of this Summer’s weekly markets, in Yaletown, gets underway this week, bringing local produce and food products to your neighbourhood:
