Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood was recently rocked by gunshots and the serious injury to a respected business owner in the area. The Yaletown Business Improvement Association is honouring the victim, a BIA member, Paul Dragan of Reckless Bikes and helping to bring the district together in support.
On Wednesday, June 18th, 2014, the Yaletown BIA is welcoming everyone to an outdoor community BBQ at the Roundhouse Turntable Plaza. As well they’re asking the public to wear yellow, tie yellow ribbons on posts, trees and bike racks to show support for the community.

Where: Roundhouse Turntable Plaza at Davie and Pacific Blvd (next to Roundhouse Community Centre)
When: Wednesday, June 18 – 11am – 3pm
What: a FREE barbeque courtesy of Urban Fare and Donnelly Group with live music, kids and family activities, a giant get well card to sign for Paul Dragan. Free t-shirts are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

In addition a Hero’s Basket is being created for Dr. Clifford Chase the former ER doctor who was at the location and administered first aid to Paul during the incident. Donations are accepted at The Cross Decor & Design (1198 Homer St)
