Local newspaper group, Glacier Media, has found a way to do just that, with LAYAR. A Dutch augmented reality app for iOS and Android smart devices, the free app allows readers to see the story behind the article and advertisements. Glacier has incorporated LAYAR into 12 of its Lower Mainland papers as they get Metro Vancouver readers used to seeing the LAYAR logo in the papers and ‘watching’ what they read.
It’s a fun and easy way to use get more out of your newspaper experience.
