The British Academy of Film & Television Arts Awards Ceremony are seen as one of the precursors to the upcoming Academy Awards. The 68th Annual British Academy Film Awards were presented Sunday at the Royal Opera House in London and hosted, for the tenth time, by Stephen Fry. Closely echoing the recent Golden Globes, the Oscar race is becoming clearer, with Boyhood, Julianne Moore, Eddie Redmayne, Patricia Arquette and J.K. Simmons repeating as winners.
The Grand Budapest Hotel lead the evening’s nominations with 11 and came away with a leading 5 awards. Boyhood followed with 3 wins.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role: J.K. Simmons as Terence Fletcher in Whiplash
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Patricia Arquette as Olivia Evans in Boyhood
Best Original Music: Alexandre Desplat for The Grand Budapest Hotel
Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer: Stephen Beresford (Writer) & David Livingstone (Producer) for Pride
Best Original Screenplay: Wes Anderson & Hugo Guinness for The Grand Budapest Hotel
Best Adapted Screenplay: Anthony McCarten for The Theory of Everything
BAFTA EE Rising Star Award: Jack O’Connell
