Last weekend, local trio beekeeper debuted their latest EP, Shout At People, at the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver. The third release from, vocalist/guitarist Devon Lougheed, bassist Brandi Sidoryk and drummer Luke Cyca follows their Top 20 place in The 2012 PEAK Performance Project. The performance at the Biltmore Cabaret felt more like a party of friends than a formal album media release party, which reflects the friendly, fun vibe one gets from their music and stage presence. The audience was filled with many followers who were familiar with their back catalogue and excited to hear the new tunes mixed in to the set. Devon Lougheed’s witty and charismatic persona kept the hour long set hopping along with the audience. Stating he was in a bit of a rebellious mood, after being told not to, he invited any and all of the audience who could fit on the tight Biltmore stage to join them for a ‘family photo’ and then stay to dance out the final number.
