We are just two months away from the return of Canada Sevens, one of Vancouver’s most exciting sporting weekends of the year! The annual rugby sevens tournament, part of the World Rugby Sevens Series, returns to BC Place Stadium, March 3-5, 2023, with the biggest Canada Sevens tournament yet!
Both Canada Men’s and Women’s teams will take to the pitch at BC Place to challenge the world not only for World Rugby Sevens Series points but also Olympic qualification. Incorporating the women’s tournament to the weekend adds another 12 teams to the usual weekend roster, bringing a total of 28 teams and 352 players to the turf in front of 60,000+ fans!
Known for it’s fast-paced, high-scoring action, Canada Sevens fans can expect to see even more tries, tackles, and spectacular plays over the three-day tournament. Now starting Friday afternoon, and wrapping up with back to back Gold Medal matches on Sunday afternoon, this will be the first time Vancouver has hosted both the Women’s and Men’s Olympic Champion (New Zealand and Fiji, respectively) and the World Series champs (Australia and Fiji).

As usual, the atmosphere at the stadium will be electric, with fans decked out in their best fancy dress and cheering on teams in full voice. The party begins outside this year, with fan activation zone on Terry Fox Plaza throughout the tournament
