Last week, Vancouver’s Native Shoes gave a sneak preview of Spring Summer 2014 at Walrus on Cambie Street. The local company’s success has always been based on its ability to keep it simple and as their motto says “Keep it Lite”. For Spring Summer 2014, Native has kept their traditional lines but debuted bright new patterns and colours to the palette.
As the brand strives to conquer the globe, CEO, Scott Hawthorne, Creative Director, Mark Gainor and Marketing Director Shawna Olsten (pictured) showed off what to expect to see for the coming season.
In the Men’s lines, they’ve brought two-tone colours to their “Howard” boat shoe. The best selling “Jefferson” and “Miller” receive contrasting taping. For the women’s “Verona”, bright spring colours and floral prints make their debut. Chevron patterns, pops of colour on the heels and bright contrasting taping also signal the coming of spring. Even the Kids line gets refreshed, with colours and patters as well as the debut of the “Verona” for Kids.
Along with the fresh and bright product the marketing has been refreshed with a new video series to go along with the line. The World Of Native follows our intrepid explorers as they hunt the globe, discovering for the brightly coloured footwear.
