On the corner of Richards and Helmcken Streets in Yaletown, Vancouver lies what may seem at first passing to be an unassuming gift shop. Instead espace d. [pronounced es-pass day] is a shop filled with stylish and unique gifts and products from around the globe.
After moving to Vancouver French interior designer, Pierre Derreumaux, founded espace d. with the aim to fuel decor inspiration by pairing unique selections of high-end home products and original pieces from leading worldwide capitals.
Having travelled the world before settling in Vancouver Derreumaux has put his well-travelled eye for decor to create a boutique that is as he describes “a collection of cutting edge décor with an international flair”.
With pieces sourced from around the globe, each unique item and collection is accompanied by a small note detailing the artist or designer of the work, so the buyer knows the background of their find. Handblown glassware from Mexico, French accessories, textiles from Argentina, accent pillows from Toronto, dishes from Denmark and houseware from Milan all work together to create a United Nations of decor.
espace d. is destined to known for contemporary home accessories in Vancouver.
