While public health restrictions have, unfortunately, closed most of the night time illumination events, except for the drive-thru experiences like PNE Winter Lights, or Glow Langley. Luckily, there are still attractions open to welcome you and your household during the daytime hours this holiday season.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park: Canyon Lights is cancelled but the Park is open for visits during the daytime from 11am to 6pm, booking timed entry is required. BC Residents get an Annual Pass for the price of a day admission. Closed Christmas Day
Van Dusen Botanical Gardens: Festival of Lights has been cancelled but the beauty of the gardens can still be enjoyed during the daylight hours, 10am – 2pm, with timed entry booking. Truffles Cafe is open on-site Thursday to Monday. Closed Christmas Day
Bloedel Conservatory: Step into the tropics without leaving the city, and take in the 120 free-flying exotic birds, hundreds of exotic plants and flowers under the dome at Queen Elizabeth Park. Open 10am – 3:45pm with timed entry. Closed Christmas Day
Grouse Mountain: Many of the annual Peak of Christmas activities will not happen this year but there’s still plenty of activities included in your Mountain Admission Ticket including; skiing, sliding, skating, snowshoeing, and the light walk. Skyride open 9am to 9pm with timed booking.
Butchart Gardens: Evening viewing of the Christmas lights is cancelled this year but the Gardens’ lights are on and the gates are open daily from 9am – 3:30pm (with viewing until 4:30pm), with timed entry. Closed Christmas Day.
